Fort Jackson's Directorate of Family, Morale Welfare and Recreation held a Spring Flea Market at the Solomon Center April 28. The free event provides a way for the thrifty shopper to take advantage of good deals on used items while allowing individuals to get rid of extra clutter and make extra money by selling unused items.

"The flea market is an opportunity for individuals to make a couple extra bucks by selling unused items and hopefully keeps some things out of the landfill." Kristin Roth, Business Manager of the Maj. Gen. Robert B. Solomon Center Operations Division of FMWR said.

Open to authorized personnel the spring flea market had over 200 visitors and 35 vendors with a variety of goods to sell. The next flea market is scheduled for the fall, date and time to be determined.
