ANNISTON ARMY DEPOT, Ala. -- The depot's enhanced Emergency Management Modernization Program telephone alert and notification software, known as AtHoc, is currently available on individual computers throughout the installation or via smartphone application.
This software allows employees to receive emergency notification and alert information via their work computer, work phone and cell phone.
Follow these steps on your work computer to register:
1. Click on the up arrow at the bottom right side of your computer monitor to verify the software is loaded on your computer. If the software is loaded, you should see a purple globe. If the software is not there, reboot your computer.
2. "Right" click on the purple globe.
3. Click on "Access Self Service."
4. To register, you must complete the "My Info" tab.
NOTE: You should save progress after every tab.
5. Click on the "Devices" tab. It is highly recommended that all information be loaded. It is required to submit both a work phone number and work email.
6. On the "Locations" tab, select edit to add your work and home locations as appropriate.
7. Call Ext. 4769 or 4711 if you have trouble getting registered or do not have the AtHoc software on your computer.
Employees without regular computer access should contact their directorate or office administrative assistants for assistance in logging on to AtHoc. They can also contact the Emergency Operations Center at Ext. 5261 for assistance.
SMARTPHONE APPLICATION
The ANAD Mass Warning and Notification system includes a mobile notification smartphone application in addition to other forms of notification such as desktop alert, email, phone and text message.
The AtHoc Notifier is a smartphone app which displays as a purple globe on your mobile phone screen with the rest of your mobile applications.
The AtHoc Notifier is available for iOS and Android smartphones. It can be installed in just a few easy steps.
Before downloading and installing the app, you must have an active email set up in the ANAD Mass Warning and Notification system.
STEP 1: Search for and Download the AtHoc Notifier app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play store.
STEP 2: When the download is complete, open the application and enter your active email address associated with your ANAD MWN system account, when prompted.
STEP 3: AtHoc Notifier will send a verification email to confirm your address. From the email, click "Verify now."
STEP 4: Return to the application on your mobile device and add the ANAD MWN organization code (usa-Anniston) as prompted. This completes the installation.
