Last month, Facebook announced a "major" change to how the social media giant prioritizes content users will see in their News Feed.

"We've gotten feedback from our community that public content -- posts from businesses, brands and media -- is crowding out the personal moments that lead us to connect more with each other," Facebook Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Mark Zuckerberg said in a Facebook post dated Jan. 11.

As a result, users will see less public content and more from family, friends and groups in their News Feed. The focus will also change from "helping you find relevant content to helping you have more meaningful social interactions," he said.

So, what does this mean for the Fort Leonard Wood Facebook page?

"To continue seeing important news and information from Fort Leonard Wood in your News Feed, users will need to follow six, simple steps," said Dawn Arden, Fort Leonard Wood Command Information chief.
