Competitors of the 2009 "Best Sapper" contest, pitting the Army's top engineers, begin a three-mile run with body armor during phase one at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.  Phase one of the 52-hour competition involved a physical training test that included the run, as well as push-ups, sit-ups and pull-ups.
