Command Sergeant Major Jeffrey R. Dillingham entered the Army November of 1991 and attended Infantry Basic Training at Fort Benning, Georgia.
CSM Dillingham has held a variety of positions throughout his career, ranging from Section Sergeant to his previous position as Garrison Command Sergeant Major for United States Army Garrison, Bavaria.
His previous assignments include Command Sergeant Major of First Army Division-West, Battalion CSM for 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, Fort Stewart, Georgia; two assignments at 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia; 6th Ranger Training Battalion, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida; 4th Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Polk, Louisiana; and 2nd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. His overseas assignments include six combat tours in Afghanistan and four tours in Iraq.
His military education includes the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, First Sergeant's Course, Ranger School, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer's Course, Noncommissioned Officer's Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Airborne School, Jumpmaster School, and the Pathfinder Course.
CSM Dillingham's awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with "V" device, Iraq Campaign Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Valorous Unit Award, Master Parachutist Badge, Combat Infantryman's Badge, and the Army Service Ribbon.
