Senior leader engagements strengthens the U.S. and Indonesian strategic partnership and military-to-military relationship. They create mutual understanding and identify opportunities for the two countries to work together.

U.S.-Indonesia have a long history, dating back to the early 19th century.

The United States was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with Indonesia and is proud to be one of Indonesia's oldest and most engaged defense partners.

Gen. Mulyono will visit several military installations during his time in Hawaii.
