FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo.--General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital's Health Promotion Team offers education classes every month to give the community the power to improve and change their health.

The Health Promotion Team Education Series classes are taught by experts in their fields which gives you the opportunity to learn from the best and ask questions.

Examples of past topics include: Upping Your Metabolism, Stress Management, Basic Nutrition, Missouri Plants & Wildlife, Childhood Obesity, Tobacco Cessation, Oral Health, Ergonomics-Adjusting Your Workstation and Muscle Fatigue from Office Work.

The classes take place on the third Thursday of every month from noon until 12:45 p.m. in the MEDDAC classroom at the hospital. Classes are open to all beneficiaries as well as the surrounding community.

Upcoming topics for the remainder of 2017 include Hearing Loss Prevention, Hypertension and Cholesterol.
