HONOLULU - Col. Andrew M. Barr (left), Commander of Tripler Army Medical Center, also known as TAMC, greets Surgeon General of Taiwan, Lt. Gen. Yi-Chang Wu (right), at TAMC's ocean-side entrance, on Sept. 22. Wu, along with nine other senior medical staff members from Taiwan, received a historical tour of TAMC, facilitated by Joel Jenkins, TAMC protocol officer, to learn of TAMC's time-honored legacy of healing heroes. The group also attended a command brief presented by Barr in order to gain a better understanding of the mission at TAMC and role as the premier health readiness platform in the Pacific. TAMC enables total force readiness by providing safe, high quality, patient-centered healthcare to service members, families and retirees.
