ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. -- Local leaders, invited guests, and other members of the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) community came together for the "Back to Basics: Your leaders, your career" Army Acquisition Workforce Summit held September 6, 2017 at the Mallette Training Facility on Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland, and September 7, at APG South (Edgewood).

The two-day event provided an ideal forum for Senior Leaders such as the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology, and the Director, U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center, to address a wide range of career topics, as well as take questions and speak to concerns associated with individual career and professional development opportunities.

Summit topics included acquisition career planning, what a successful package looks like, demographics on civilian success, and how to start preparing your package, leader development and education offerings, and available tools and resources geared toward building leaders.
