U.S. Army Europe to hold 2nd European Best Sniper Squad Competition

GRAFENWOEHR, Germany (Sept. 11, 2017) -- The U.S. Army Europe will host the 2017 European Best Sniper Squad Competition, Sept. 24-28, 2017, here, with an awards ceremony Sept. 28.

This mentally and physically challenging four-day competition, with more than 30 events, will test multinational sniper squads on land navigation, advanced marksmanship, medical simulations and more.

The European Best Sniper Squad Competition is designed to project a dynamic presence, foster military partnership and promote NATO interoperability.

Currently, participating countries include Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Media is invited to attend the friendship shoot on Sept. 24. For media information, contact 7th Army Training Command's Public Affairs Office at usarmy.grafenwoehr.jmtc.list.pao-all@mail.mil no later than Sept. 19.
