Fort Stewart parents, Spc. Chukwuebuka Nsofor Sr., 3rd Infantry Division, 83rd Chemical Battalion, 92nd Chemical Company, along with his spouse Chinwe, welcomed their little girl, Janna Nicole, to the world about an hour before the 2017 Great American Eclipse, Aug 21. The night before, Chinwe started showing signs of onset labor and in the early morning hours, Baby Janna made her way to Winn Army Community Hospital, where she later gave birth to their six-pound, 11 ounce daughter. Spc. Nsofor excitedly explained, when he received the call that the baby was on the way, he did not know what to do, so he went to PT, only to be told by his leadership to get to the hospital. Baby Janna was born before her due date and Chinwe said she feels wonderful and thinks her daughter came early because she too wanted to witness the eclipse. The Nsofor Family, along with their 2-year-old son, Chuwuebuka Jr., was presented a special "Eclipse" gift from the Mother/Baby unit by a Winn Registered Nurse, Gloria Slawitsky.
