Headquarters TRADOC organizes special celebration for NCOs

A platoon of Soldiers from Fort Monroe, Va., runs along the installation's seawall while participating in the April 3 NCO Day run organized by Headquarters, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command. The Year of the NCO tribute also included a mid-morning briefing that included introductory remarks by Lt. Gen. David P. Valcourt, TRADOC Deputy Commanding General; a history of the NCO Corps talk by Sgt. 1st Class Michael Noland, 2008 U.S. Army Drill Sergeant of the Year; and the showing of the NCO-tribute video recently released by Sergeant Major of the Army Kenneth O. Preston.
