VIEW ORIGINAL 4 / 5 Officials from the PEO's Product Management Office for Bridging had Easter climb aboard and operate the XM30 Bridge Erection Boat to get a first-hand experience as to how they will operate when fielded and their role in employing the Improved Ribbon Bridge. The vessel will provide Multi-Role Bridging Companies significantly enhanced capabilities not only for bridging operations, but also for diving support, rafting transport, and patrols. The BEB demonstration was designed to educate Easter on the system, its role in enhancing and enabling maneuver and sustainment, and its advantages over the legacy system. VIEW ORIGINAL 5 / 5 Col. Acting Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology/Acting Army Acquisition Executive Steffanie B. Easter made an early-August trip to the Motor City to visit one of her largest direct reporting units, Program Executive Office for Combat Support and Combat Service Support. She spent Aug. 3 receiving overviews and updates on PEO Combat Support and Combat Service Support's truly diverse equipment portfolio. The PEO CS&CSS team manages the lifecycle of approximately 250 programs -- 150 in active management -- spanning most or all of the equipment in the Army's Transportation, Ordnance, Engineer, and Quartermaster portfolios.
