46th engineers receive awards for hard work

BAGHDAD - Lt. Col. William McRae, the commander of 1st Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, pins on an Army Commendation Medal to Spc. Alex Hunt assigned to the 46th Engineer Combat Battalion, 225th Engineer Brigade, March 27. The 46th En Bn. Soldiers helped build Joint Security Station Zafaraniyah for the 319th artillerymen and Iraqi Police.

Steven Payton (center), the senior enlisted advisor for the battalion, give Pfc. Chance Bailey, 46th En. Bn., 225th En. Bde., an Army Commendation Medal for his role in helping to provide Joint Security Station Zafaraniyah with electricity and water March 27. Bailey, along with seven other engineers, received ARCOMs for their outstanding work.

Morris received a Certificate of Achievement along with 24 other engineers for their work in helping to build life-support facilities at JSS Zafaraniyah.
