Lieutenant Colonel Brian Jacobs is a 1999 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point where he earned a BS degree in Environmental Geography.
Lt. Col. Jacobs has served over 18 years in a variety of strategic, operational, and combat assignments to include platoon leader, and battalion and division staﬀ positions. He most recently deployed to Qatar to serve as the Deputy Commanding Officer for the 69th Air Defense Artillery Brigade in support of Operation Spartan Shield.
Prior to his deployment, he served as the Assistant Executive Oﬃcer for the Assistant Chief of Staﬀ for Installation Management. Lt. Col. Jacobs also served as an Army analyst in the Commander's Initiatives Group for the Commander of United Nations Command/Combined Forces Command/United States Forces Korea.
Prior to being an Army Analyst, Lt. Col. Jacobs served as the Battalion Executive Oﬃcer for 2nd Battalion, 1st Air Defense Artillery Regiment in the Republic of Korea from 2011 to 2012. During his ﬁrst tour to the Republic of Korea from 2003 to 2005, he served with 5th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment as both the Battalion S-4 and as the Delta Battery Commander. He completed a one-year combat deployment to Iraq as an Advisor to the Iraqi Border Police with 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division.
Lt. Col. Jacobs' awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Staﬀ Badge, the Air Assault Badge, and the Parachutist Badge. He is a 2010 graduate of the Command and General Staﬀ College, the Air Defense Captains Career Course, and Air Defense Artillery Oﬃcer Basic Course.
