Fort Huachuca, Arizona - Army Community Service (ACS) is available to help Soldiers navigate the documentation requirements for military Families enrolled in the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) wanting to submit a medical Compassionate Action Request.

These requests include compassionate reassignments, attachments, as well as deletion and deferment requests. Additionally military Families with special needs family members who meet strict parameters can also apply for a four-year stabilization.

ACS EFMP staff along with the Military Personnel Division (Reassignments) and the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate (SJA) have developed EFMP related checklists to provide guidelines to unit personnel offices and Soldiers seeking assistance. These checklists only apply to requests from Soldiers with exceptional family members or Soldiers with emergent family member medical issues requiring initial EFMP medical screening.

An SJA brochure about Compassionate Action Requests is also available for leadership and Soldiers.

Installation EFMP representatives at Raymond W. Bliss Army Health Center and ACS are available by appointment to meet with Soldiers to discuss their specific circumstances, determine EFMP enrollment need (initial/update) and to provide information and advocacy.

These tools have been developed to provide more effective guidance and to streamline the processing of these time-sensitive personnel actions. For more information, call 520.538.5899.
