PICATINNY ARSENAL, N.J. - Keyla Munoz, a Victim Specialist with the FBI's Newark Field Office, visited Picatinny Arsenal, June 7, where she provided a briefing on human trafficking education and awareness.
The two-hour event was hosted by the Picatinny Arsenal Military Spouse's Group.
Munoz talked about the world's second largest criminal industry which is described as modern-day slavery and involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act.
According to Munoz, "an estimated 21 million victims are trapped in modern-day slavery."
