SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii -- Maj. Gen. Ed Daly, senior commander of Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois, and commanding general of the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, spoke to about 100 logisticians of the 25th Infantry Division at a Leader Professional Development session here June 7.

Daly spoke about the importance of the U.S. Army Materiel Command and its subordinate units providing readiness support to the warfighter at the operational and tactical points of need. Daly also spoke about the importance of leadership and the confidence he had with leaders attending the session.

"Someone sitting in this room today could very well be the next commanding general of Army Materiel Command," he said. "I really believe that."

The command team of the 25th ID Sustainment Brigade presented Daly with a special lei to show their appreciation for him providing them with valuable knowledge that they can use in the future.
