Fort Huachuca hosted the 30th Annual All Army Boxing Championships June 8 and 10 and Raymond W. Bliss Army Health Center staff was on hand to provide medical support.

RWBAHC staff has been providing medical support at the All Army Boxing Championships for the last 27 years on Fort Huachuca.

In addition to providing complete medical care for all 48 boxers since they arrived on Fort Huachuca May 15, RWBAHC's Department of Primary Care staff has also conducted all pre-fight and post-fight physicals.

Medical personnel were also stationed ringside at every fight to provide medical attention if needed.

Leslie Woods, Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Chief of Sports, Fitness and Aquatics, said that the Raymond W. Bliss Army Health Center medical staff was very accommodating, professional and conscientious.

Woods said that the medical staff had to be there very early some mornings to meet the requested times of pre-bout physicals.

"This medical team was a pleasure to work with," Woods said. "They displayed a sincere regard for the health and well-being of the Soldier athlete, accommodating physicals for 48 male and female athletes who came from all over the world," Wood said. "Their esprit de corps was high, they worked really well together."
