HONOLULU - Staff members from Tripler Army Medical Center (Tripler) train to care for hurricane victims during a mass casualty exercise on June 8, to test emergency response procedures in partnership with U.S. Army Garrison - Hawaii, U.S. Army Health Clinic - Schofield Barracks, the Healthcare Association of Hawaii and other island healthcare facilities. Patients were transported to Tripler from Fort Shafter and Schofield Barracks by medical evacuation helicopters, ambulances and litter buses. Tripler conducts at least two large-scale mass casualty exercises per year to engage with military, civilian and federal healthcare organizations across the island of Oahu, Hawaii.
