Lieutenant General Aundre F. Piggee is no stranger to the four-states area. Piggee, who currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4 (Army Logistics), is a native of Stamps, Arkansas and recently visited Red River Army Depot.

"What these men and women are doing at Red River is quite impressive," said Piggee. "Red River plays a vital role in Army readiness."

While at Red River, Piggee visited the Rubber Products facility, the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle production facility as well as the depot's newest building, the Maneuver Systems Sustainment Center where various maintenance activities are underway for a variety of the Army's top vehicle programs. In addition to discussions with depot officials, Piggee also met with Commissioner Dennis Lewis, Texas Military Preparedness Commission and Economic Development Corp. Executive Director Jerry Sparks.

Piggee, who was promoted in September 2016, is currently one of 50 Lieutenant Generals serving in the Army. As G-4, Piggee's focus is to build readiness, continue building a future force and take care of Soldiers, civilians and families.

During his 35 years in the Army, Piggee served three times at Fort Hood deploying with troops to Iraq, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kuwait. He served as the Commanding General of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command in Germany, as the C-4/J-4 of United Nations Command/United States Forces Korea and at the Pentagon as the Executive Officer to the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army.

Piggee is married to the former Kassi Gideon, originally of Kileen, Texas. They have one daughter, Alexis. His mother Maxine Piggee is a resident of Texarkana, Arkansas.
