CHIAfaEURoVRES, Belgium -- Installation Management Command-Europe's senior noncommissioned officer visited the U.S. Army Garrison Benelux and its indirect reporting garrisons in Brussels and Schinnen. During Command Sgt. Maj. Tracey Anbiya's tour, she met with senior NCOs from the garrisons and from the NATO units that the Benelux supports.
"Here in the Benelux, we're not just Army. We have Air Force located here. We have Navy located here, and when we do things here in the Benelux, we have to do it as Servicemembers, regardless of what branch of service we're in," said Command Sgt. Maj. Ralph Ford, USAG Benelux, command sergeant major.
"What I found today is that they share the same concerns that we noncommissioned officers share in the Army," said Anbiya after meeting with the NCOs and discussing ways to improve quality of life for the Servicemembers in the Benelux footprint.
Anbiya also toured the facilities at each garrison to learn about the Army and joint programs offered at the locations.
"It's important for the sergeant major to see who we support, the facility initiatives we have planned as a garrison, as well as the kinds of services available, and not available, to Soldiers and Family Members in our area," said Command Sgt. Maj. Mary L. Brown, USAG Schinnen, command sergeant major.
