CAMP TAJI, Iraq - Pfc. Charles Coffman, a Corsicana, Texas native, tests a generator during his daily preventive maintenance checks and services.  The network extension platoon relies on 10-kilowatt generators as part of its power distribution plan to ensure continuous voice and data network operations. Coffman is currently deployed with Bravo Company, 10th Sustainment Brigade Troops Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade in support of Multi-National Division - Baghdad.

Robert Pruitt, a Fayetteville, N.C. native, and a Soldier of Bravo Company, 10th Sustainment Brigade Troops Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade, checks signal strength on the dismounted line of site radio transmission system.  The DLOS provides high-capacity two-way voice and data transport capabilities through terrestrial line-of-site communications.  The network extension platoon operates this critical network system for the 10th Sust. Bde.
