The team at Corpus Christi Army Depot achieved an organizational milestone when it repaired its first AH-64 E-Model Apache crash battle damage aircraft.

The aircraft was inducted at CCAD on March 17, 2014 as the first AH-64E pilot program aircraft.

The Apache was deemed fully mission capable on Feb. 28.

The Apache was involved in a rollover accident with engines operating at 100% at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California. The aircraft sustained damage to the right side of the fuselage and extensive damage to the airframe when the main rotor struck the ground.

With this new capability, CCAD strengthens the Army with renewed force as each attack helicopter returns for the next mission.
