More than 650 Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center employees attended the annual Sexual Assault and Prevention Month fair, which was held April 6 at the Fort Hood hospital and featured displays from various III Corps, Fort Hood Garrison and CRDAMC agencies.

Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month is held annually in April to stress the importance of supporting victims as they heal, holding offenders accountable and reaffirming the Army's commitment to creating an organization where violence is not tolerated and building a community based on respect, collaboration and unity. CRDAMC kicked off the month-long awareness campaign April 1 with a walk/run to honor the victims of sexual assault, as well as provide information about CRDAMC's sexual assault forensic exams.

This year's SAAPM theme is "Sexual Assault. Sexual Harassment. Not in Our Army."
