The 8th TSC Command Chaplain's Office hosted a two day Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), workshop at AMR Chapel this week.

The focus of the ASIST program is to train Officers, NCOs, and Soldiers within the command to be able to provide suicide first aid, to become ready, willing, and able to help Soldiers at risk by recognizing warning signs and potential risk factors.

OVERVIEW: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day workshop intended to make caregivers and leaders more comfortable, confident, and competent in helping to prevent the immediate risk of suicide.
