Command Sgt. Maj. Scott Schroeder, U.S. Army Forces Command's senior enlisted leader will help facilitate the fourth and final State of the Noncommissioned Officer Development Town Hall March 30 at 11 a.m. EST. The event will focus on the third effort in the NCO 2020 Strategy, Stewardship of the Profession.

Soldiers can watch the State of NCO Development Town Hall 4 live and participate at http://go.usa.gov/xXqYY, or ask questions via social media. They can also upload videoed or typed questions to TRADOC's #TRADOCtownhall discussion page on Facebook, or post questions to Twitter using #TRADOCtownhall.

The goal of the livestreamed event is twofold, serving not only to inform the force on new initiatives in NCO development and education, but more importantly, it will provide an opportunity for Soldiers to give feedback and ask questions, according to TRADOC's Command Sgt. Maj. David Davenport Sr. "I want them to know how important their feedback is to the process," Davenport said. "I want them to know that their opinion counts; it matters and we're listening."

During the first half of the event, subject matter experts will discuss what the Army is doing to educate NCOs on the importance of their role in the profession of arms. Topics include the Expert Action Badge, the Occupational Physical Assessment Test, character development, improving written and oral communication in professional military education, the unit noncommissioned officer development program and more. Each topic will be followed by a Q&A session.

The second half of the town hall will take on a broader focus to discuss topics from previous TRADOC town halls and answer questions across the total Army -- active, Guard and Reserve.

"I think anyone who tunes in will benefit from the open conversation that we'll have with the force -- regardless of what component they may be from," Davenport said. "It's not scripted, and it's not rehearsed, so we have to come in prepared to provide candid, factual answers to the questions."

Davenport emphasized that trust and honest feedback are critical to the success of the town hall and ultimately, the future of NCO development in the Army.

Soldiers can submit their feedback and questions through social media before the event, or simply by logging on to the live chat here during the town hall. Join the discussion here to ask questions on TRADOC's Facebook page, or tweet to @tradoc using the hashtag #TRADOCtownhall.
