Washington - - The U.S. Army Military District of Washington presents Celebrating America's Army: An Evening With Heroes and Voices, a spectacular military concert honoring the sacrifices of America's Soldiers, first responders, nurses and teachers who continue to meet the needs of our nation during some of the most challenging times in our history. This musical extravaganza will feature a light show, patriotic video vignettes and Soldiers in period uniforms as part of an awe-inspiring production.
This special outdoor event will be performed live outside of the Women In Military Service For America (WIMSA) memorial at Arlington National Cemetery April 20, 21 and 22 at 7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. The Soldiers participating in the concert are from the Army's premier, elite ceremonial units and will blend the precision and discipline of the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) with the dynamic musicianship of The U.S. Army Band Pershing's Own. They include the Fife and Drum Corps, 4th Battalion, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment, the United States Army Drill Team, HHC, 4th Battalion, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment, U.S. Army Herald Trumpets, the U.S. Army Chorus and the U.S. Army Concert Band.
The U.S. Army Military District of Washington serves as the Army Forces Component and core staff element of Joint Force Headquarters National Capital Region which conducts operations that deter, prevent and respond to threats aimed at the National Capital Region; and conducts world-class ceremonial musical and special events in support of our Nation's leadership.
