KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany -- Though tax season started several weeks ago, the Kleber Tax Center located at building 3210 Room 101 on Kleber Kaserne held their grand opening ceremony February 10.
Ceremony attendees included U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz Commander Col. Keith Igyarto who officiated over the ceremony and cut the ceremonial ribbon. Igyarto expressed how proud he was of every Soldier working there for their "dedication to serve the community."
During the ceremony, attendees learned that the Soldiers working at the center participated in a week-long training with an Internal Revenue Service tax preparation representative.
Sgt. Tony Hill, human resource specialist, 21st Special Troops Battalion, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, was one of the Soldiers recognized by Igyarto for having the most successful tax returns completed, with 20 done to date.
"With learning anything new, there is always a learning curve," Hill said. "We are fortunate enough to have our two civilian paralegals here to also help with questions we may have."
The center offers free tax preparation to all government ID card holders.
