Rear Adm. Chinn Speaks at Fort Detrick Alliance Annual Dinner

Rear Adm. Colin G. Chinn, U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command deputy commander and director of the Defense Health Agency J9 Research and Development Directorate, provided the keynote address at the Fort Detrick Alliance Annual Appreciation Dinner the evening of Jan. 23 in Walkersville, Maryland.

The Fort Detrick Alliance is a non-profit organization facilitating "communication and understanding between federal agencies at Fort Detrick and the community at large."

Chinn provided the attendees with an update on the work being conducted and advancements being made at the USAMRMC and Fort Detrick that impact not only the military, but also the local community and populations around the globe.

Other leadership in attendance at the dinner included: Fort Detrick U.S. Army Garrison Commander Col. Robert O'Brien; USAG Deputy Commander Gunnar Pedersen; Fort Detrick USAG Command Sgt. Maj. Franklin D. Jordan; and Fort Detrick Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Michael Jeffries, who provided the invocation.
