HOHENFELS, Germany -- The Joint Multinational Readiness Center came together today to witness a change in leadership and bid farewell to their outgoing Headquarters and Headquarters Company commander, Jan. 19.

The passing of the JMRC HHC Operations Group guidon from Capt. Theresa Christie to Capt. Deryck Adriano was celebrated with Soldiers representing JMRC, civilians, and family members in attendance.

The host of the ceremony, Lt. Col. Brett C. Forbes, JMRC Deputy Commanding Officer, farewelled Christie and thanked her for her dedicated service to JMRC.

During Christie's outgoing remarks, she highlighted her gratitude for all the mentorship she received and the dedication of her staff and their accomplishments during her tenure.

"I've had the honor of being the HHC Operations Group commander for the past year," said Christie. "I've been challenged to be a better officer and logistician."

Christie welcomed the new commander and concluded her speech by thanking her family, her Soldiers, the installation partners and the Joint Multinational Readiness Center.

"Capt. Adriano, I have the honor of handing off to you one of the finest companies in the Army," said Christie. "HHC is diverse, challenging, demanding and most of all rewarding."

"I know you are up to the task and I look forward to where you will take this company in the future." Christie will continue to be part of JMRC as a logistics officer in the JMRC S4.

Adriano, the incoming JMRC HHC commander, expressed gratitude for the command opportunity and said he was excited to join the JMRC team.

"Capt. Adriano is a true professional who has demonstrated he is ready to command," said Forbes. "We look forward to your added presence and impact not only on HHC Operations Group but across JMRC and the Hohenfels community."
