The German and Polish communities can cheer on U.S. Soldiers as they travel to Poland across Germany.

This deployment offers U.S. soldiers an important opportunity to practice cooperation and interoperability with German Soldiers and later on -- as the convoy moves farther east -- with those of other nations. It is extremely important for soldiers of NATO nations to exercise regularly how to assemble forces quickly and work together in a complex security environment.

The Atlantic Resolve Mission aims to reassure our Allies of the U.S. commitment to NATO through the deployment of an Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT) from Fort Carson, Colorado.

Atlantic Resolve further demonstrates the U.S. commitment to the security of NATO allies on air, land and at sea. To ensure its own security, NATO must have strong, committed and capable allies, which is why the United States has fought, exercised and trained with our European allies for the past 70 years. The U.S.-European strategic partnership is built on a foundation of shared values, experiences and commitment to a Europe that is stable and prosperous.
