REDSTONE ARSENAL, Alabama -- A U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command engineer retired recently.

Doug Burdette, Technical Center engineer, retired Dec. 16 at the command's Redstone Arsenal headquarters.

During the ceremony Burdette received the Meritorious Civilian Service Award, an American flag, a certificate of appreciation, a three-star note, and a certificate of retirement and pin.

Burdette retires with 30 years of federal service.
