Staff members from various organizations at Eskan Village in Saudi Arabia gathered for a Fun Run in the early morning hours of Dec. 7. U.S. Army Security Assistance Command's Maj. Gen. Stephen Farmen and Brig. Gen. Frank Muth, program manager with the Office of the Program Manager-Saudi Arabian National Guard, spoke to the crowd before the run. These runs are a U.S. military tradition and usually take place around sunrise. They are distinguished by unit colors and guidons at the front of an organized formation and are intended to build esprit de corps as much as physical conditioning.
