Fort Jackson opened its doors to sailors from Charleston Naval Base as Hurricane Matthew threatens the coastal regions of South Carolina. More than 600 sailors were arriving at the Solomon Center on post to sign in, receive information about the post, and to receive housing assignments. Single Service members were housed in set of buildings, while married sailors were housed with their families (and pets) in another.
