Financial Readiness Branch helps Soldiers achieve financial fitness

-- Assess your financial situation. Review your debt vs. income ratio.

-- Pay yourself first. Always have a savings fund, preferably 10 percent of your paycheck that automatically goes into a savings account.

-- Review your needs vs. wants in spending.

-- Pay down debts and eliminate unnecessary spending.

-- Set goals and stick to them. Avoid impulse buys and spending.

-- Monitor your credit report and notify institutions of fraudulent account activity.
