Soldiers of Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division conducted reflexive-fire training August 25, 2016 at Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Reflexive-fire training hones a Soldier's ability to raise their weapon and acquire a target quickly. In order to qualify Soldiers practiced multiple techniques .Such as moving forward while shooting, reacting to contact in opposite directions.

"I believe reflexive shooting benefits us for the future. It helps our technique on moving and shooting, looking in different directions and shooting," said Sgt. Skyler Henley, a team leader with B Co.,1-30th.

Henley said he was able to identify the benefits before they even left the range.

"My Soldiers surprisingly shot very well," Henley said, "Almost every Soldier in my platoon shot 20 out of 20. They are definitely learning and growing and using their basic Soldier skills to the best of their ability."
