Specialist George Kallas, a 14T Patriot Launching Station Enhanced Operator/Maintainer, was selected as the 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command's Soldier of the Week for 22 to 26 August 2016.

Over the past several months, Spc. Kallas has volunteered numerous hours of his personal time to coordinated Esprit de Corps events for Bravo Battery, 5th Battalion 7th Air Defense Artillery Regiment. The most notable of these was a bowling tournament that he single-handedly planned for and conducted. In doing so, Spc. Kallas displayed his dedication to the Soldier, Non-Commissioned Officers, and Officer of Bravo Battery. These events have led to friendly competition and an opportunity for the unit to get to know one another better. Spc. Kallas' exemplary leadership has been instrumental in improving his battery's cohesion.

Spc. Kallas' outstanding work ethic and tenacious concern for the morale of Bravo Battery is in keeping with the highest standards of the Bravo Battery "Bounty Hunter" Team, the 10th AAMDC, and the United States Army. Congratulations to Spc. Kallas, the 10th AAMDC Soldier of the Week!
