SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. -- The U.S. Army Medical Command recently held its annual Decision Science Training Camp for all of its military treatment facility command teams.

The four-day training session, hosted by Maj. Gen. Patrick Sargent, MEDCOM Deputy Commanding General for Operations, focused on training senior Army Medicine leaders in several mission critical

areas. The camp curriculum consisted of daily plenary speakers followed by small groups rotating through eight different tracks.

In attendance were 132 senior leaders representing all Army medical treatment facilities and regional health commands. Special attendees included leaders from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Ft. Belvoir Community Hospital command groups.

The learning objectives were evaluated by a course pre-test and final exam. At the end of the camp, participants evaluated the course using surveys which will be used to improve future such camps.

The annual training camp is just another way Army Medicine is working to enhance and improve the readiness of the its medical force and health of its beneficiaries.
