U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) hosted an awards ceremony and banquet Aug. 5, concluding the 101 days of summer campaign at Main Post Club. In addition to BOSS employees and awardees, USAG Yongsan Command Sgt. Maj. Joseph M. James Jr. was present and gave a speech about the success of the event. The overall best award was accepted by Pvt. Antonio Garcia on behalf of 121 Combat Support Hospital, Brian Allgood Army Community Hospital, for achieving the most number of points through participation in several events.
BOSS is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of single Soldiers, geographical bachelors and single parents. The organization assists in the planning and execution of diverse recreational activities. For two consecutive years, BOSS has organized this program offering different summer activities to which units send their best Soldiers to compete in multiple events against other units within Area II. The events included a paint ball trip, flag football, bowling, ping pong tournament, water activities and other numerous games during the 101 days of summer.
