WIESBADEN, Germany -- The U.S. Army Judge Advocates Corps offers a debt-free option to individuals considering the appeal of a career in law called The Funded Legal Education Program.
FLEP, annually provides 25 active duty lieutenants or captains the opportunity to attend law school and obtain a legal education at government expense.
While the program, now in its 42nd year, is available Army wide, the U.S. Army Europe Office of the Judge Advocate can help interested lieutenants and captains learn more and apply for the program.

The eligibility requirements in AR 27-1 are statutory and cannot be waived. Officers with a minimum of two but no more than six years of total active federal service at the time legal training begins are eligible.
Eligible officers interested in applying should immediately register for the earliest offering of the Law School Admission Test, or LSAT.
