Sons of Iraq receive monthly payment

ISTAQLAL, Iraq -Iraqi National Police officials pay Sons of Iraq members Feb. 18 at in the Istaqlal Qada district of Baghdad. More than 500 SoI members were paid by NP officers assigned to the 2nd NP Brigade, 1st NP. The SoI have been credited for the improved security across the nation.

ISTAQLAL, Iraq -Son of Iraq members go through a series of security and identification checks during a SoI payment event Feb. 19 in the Istaqlal Qada district of Baghdad.  The Government of Iraq paid more than 500 SoI members their monthly salary of about $300. Soldiers from the 1st Battalion 112th Infantry Regiment, 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, provided over watch security, as officers from 2nd Brigade 1st National Police Division conduct personnel searches.
