HONOLULU (May 26, 2016) --- Regional Health Command-Pacific (RHC-P) hosted Bangladesh military medical leaders during a tour of Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), highlighting key medical programs, initiatives and innovations, as part of ongoing collaborations between the two military medical communities.

Bangladesh leaders, Maj. Gen. Rabiul Hossain, Director of General Medical Services, along with Maj. Gen. Moshfequr Rahman, 11th Division Commander, took part in the engagement which included a historical tour of TAMC, and visits to the hospital's Emergency Department, Neonatal intensive care unit, Medical Simulation Center, and Intensive Care Unit.

Hossain expressed his gratitude to RHC-P leaders for the tour, saying his official visit to Hawaii would not have been complete without the stop at TAMC.

TAMC leaders in attendance included Hospital Commander, Col. David Dunning, and TAMC's Deputy Commanding Officer, Navy Capt. Jeff Timby.

RHC-P leaders in attendance included RHC-P Global Health Engagements lead, Lt. Col. Derek Licina, along with Brad Cogswell, Strategy, Plans and Policy Analyst for Global Health Engagements.

The international leader tour followed participation in an RHC-P led plenary panel discussion and medical forum during the Association of the United States Army (AUSA)'s Institute of Land Warfare LANPAC Symposium and Exposition in Honolulu, Hawaii, which took place from May 24-26.

The LANPAC talks were designed to increase visibility and knowledge of medical, engineering, and civil affairs contributions in achieving National Security Strategy objectives.
