REDSTONE ARSENAL, Alabama -- One U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command employee ends one chapter and starts another.

Charles H. Elgin, lead test engineer for USASMDC/ARSTRAT Technical Center's Research and Advanced Concepts Division, retired at the command's Redstone Arsenal headquarters May 25.

During the ceremony Elgin received the Superior Civilian Service Award, a certificate of appreciation, and a certificate of retirement and pin.

Elgin retires with 31 years of federal service.
