Wiesbaden Community Spouses Club gives out $54,000 in scholarships

WIESBADEN, Germany -- The Wiesbaden Community Spouses Club awarded $54,000 in scholarships to 34 students May 17 at an awards reception in Bldg. 1000.

Scholarships were awarded to both current high school seniors and previous Wiesbaden High School students currently enrolled in college.

The following students received a WCSC High School Senior Scholarship:

Eric Arnold, Carys Behnke, Patience Bock, Giovanna Castellanos, Colby Andrew Day, Erin Gavle, Taylor Hill, Justyna Hinz, Angela Jeanfracois, Emily Johnson, John Roddy, Daniel Scahill, Kris Smith, Claire Torza, Natalya Voyer, and Jackie Workman.

The following students received the WCSC Continuing Education Scholarship:

Mackinley Bullock, Jessica Crosno, Kaylynn Donnelly, Briana Donnelly, Joshua Fischer, Alyssa Formica, Sarah French, Margaret Gaylor, Taylor Hanson, Cyera Harper-Sanchez, Richard Heiges, Matthew Machacek, Emily McCormick, Leah Rojas, Rebecca Russell, Chad Seitz, Michael Scahill, and Heather Stinson.

In addition, the Capt. Jacob Dixon III Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Kris Smith.

The scholarship is named for Air Force Capt. Jacob Dixon, and 1974 graduate of General H. H. Arnold High School (now Wiesbaden High School), who died in a 1982 private airplane crash. Since then his mother has honored his memory through this scholarship.
