REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. (May 9, 2016) -- The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center hosted a Metrology Mini Summit May 5.
The summit featured presenters and subject matter experts from AMRDEC's Weapons Development and Integration Metrology, the Visualization Based Designed Laboratory, the Marshall Space Flight Center, and the U.S. Army Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment Activity.
The purpose of the mini-summit was to inform and demonstrate how metrology can provide support to the Army community. Participating organizations demonstrated the use of metrology technology to accurately measure objects of every size, create visual models of parts and weapon systems, and ensure that the tools used are calibrated for accuracy.
