Kaiserslauten, Germany (Rhine Ordnance Barracks) -- The Army Staff Senior Warrant Officer, Chief Warrant Officer 5 David Williams, selected 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command as the first operational unit to visit during his travels throughout Germany.

Williams was greeted by the 10th AAMDC Command Team April 20, as he and his staff arrived to Rhine Ordnance Barracks. Williams and the 10th Command Team conducted an office call in order to discuss the Army Warrant Officer 2025 Strategy which was approved by Army Chief of Staff, General Mark Milley and Acting Secretary of the Army, Patrick Murphy.

The 10th AAMDC provided Williams with briefings consisting of the Army Air and Missile Defense Command's mission requirements within U.S. Army Europe and United States European Command. The briefing topics included current threat sets, Army Air and Missile Defense assets, equipment readiness, 10th AAMDC Command Chief Warrant Officer responsibilities and focus areas, unique roles of the 10th AAMDC Security Shop, 5th Battalion, 7th Air Defense Artillery Regiment Supply Support Activity operations, and Combined Command Post Evolution.

The primary objective was to illustrate how the 10th AAMDC effectively operates in a Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multi-National environment by providing critical capabilities which enable mission success for EUCOM, USAREUR, NATO and bilateral allies holistically.

"The experience of meeting and spending time with the most senior leader of our cohort in the entire Army was irreplaceable," said Chief Warrant Officer 2 Langston, who was recognized for leading her specialized team in 5-7 ADA BN to win both the USAREUR and Headquarters Department of the Army Supply Excellence Award.

Williams provided an invaluable professional development opportunity to a deluge of Warrant Officers throughout the entire Kaiserslautern and Baumholder areas highlighting a myriad of important and relevant Army level discussion points. The briefing included the history of the Army Warrant Officer, numerous Army level Warrant Officer initiatives, and the Warrant Officer 2025 Strategy. Williams highlighted the Army Warrant Officer strategic direction, four major lines of effort and the significance of the four guiding principles which served as the foundation of this strategy encompassing Army Operating Concept, maximizing the Human Dimension, Army Leader Development Strategy, and Force 2025 and beyond.

"We must prepare and develop Army Warrant Officers of character, competence, and commitment, who can win in a complex world," Williams said.

"Army Warrant Officers must remain the premier land force technical experts and system integrators."
