REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. -- To increase leadership dialogue across Redstone Arsenal, the Army Materiel Command's senior civilian brought together the installation's top-level civilians for the first Team Redstone Networking Breakfast.

Lisha Adams, executive deputy to the commanding general, hosted nearly 30 members of the senior executive service from around Redstone's organizations to work together and understand organizational needs across the board Friday at The Summit.

"There are a lot opportunities for our employees across the Arsenal and there is so much to gain when we work together," she said.

On top of the agenda was creating a team talent management program. The group discussed the potential challenges and advantages of setting up a career swap program across Redstone's different organizations.

Offering a possible way ahead, Patrick O'Neill, AMC's chief technology officer, presented Redstone Arsenal Assignments Marketplace. RAMP is a system that allows those looking for developmental assignments the ability to connect with organizations offering opportunities, O'Neill said.

"The system will connect high-potential people with the opportunities needed to advance their careers," he said, noting that organizations will benefit from the cross training. "It emphasizes the right message - that people matter."

The group will continue meeting quarterly and tour each other's facilities to learn about Redstone's vast missions and capabilities. Participating organization included the Missile Defense Agency, Space and Missile Defense Command, NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, Army Contracting Command, Security Assistance Command and the Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center.
