SCHOFIELD BARRACKS -- On April 2-7, 2016, a total of 14 non-commissioned officers (NCO) and junior enlisted Soldiers from around Regional Health Command-Pacific (RHC-P) competed in the 2016 Best Warrior Competition at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Hawaii and on Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

The four-day competition tested a Soldier's physical fitness, warfare aptitude, navigation skills, and leadership skills, including oral and written exams. Competitors were required to demonstrate a tremendous amount of endurance, challenging them in a tropical environment and putting them through a high level of stress to distinguish who would become the best warrior.

Staff Sgt. Cory Glasgow, U.S. Army Health Clinic-Schofield Barracks (USAHC-SB) and Spc. Milos Drljic, Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC) came out on top as the RHC-P's 2016 best warriors.

On April 8, 2016, the competitors were honored at a ceremony hosted by RHC-P's Senior Enlisted Advisor, Command Sgt. Maj. Richard F. Watson, III. During the ceremony Watson honored this year's competitors, describing the warriors as physically fit, mentally astute, and resilient. Watson also emphasized that each of the warriors were fierce and unrelenting in battle, demonstrating the warrior ethos of 'never quit'.

Throughout the competition, the RHC-P competitors also demonstrated their commitment to Army values and represented the Force of the Future, alongside embodying the Warrior Ethos.

Glasgow and Drljic will represent RHC-P, competing against fellow medical command best warriors, this Spring.

The Best Warrior Competition is considered the "Super Bowl" of Army competitions which brings together the best warriors from across the Army.
