Gen. Claudio Graziano, Chief of the Defense Staff of Italy, laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier during a public wreath-laying ceremony with Maj. Gen. Bradley A Becker, U.S. Army Military District of Washington commanding General, to honor America's fallen at Arlington National Cemetery March 31, 2016.
The United States-Italy partnership is one of the strongest, as Italy is a leader in peacekeeping and military operations around the world. Italy has also worked with the U.S. and others in combating drug trafficking, human trafficking and terrorism.
Gen. Graziano was also honored with an official arrival ceremony on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall's Whipple Field. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Joseph F. Dunford hosted the arrival ceremony.
